PREAMBLE

We, the Gentlemen of the Society of Ordinary Gentlemen, the Original Guardians of Gentlemanly Behavior, in order to establish a community in which gentlemen and ladies may communicate in an atmosphere of politeness and courtesy; to promote discussion concerning genteel behavior, humor, fashion, food, mental and physical well-being, personal development, and the active mentoring of a new generation of gentlemen; to preserve an environment in which topics of discussion may be freely explored when conducted in accordance with the Code of Conduct; and to preserve the tranquility and fellowship of civilized exchange, akin to friends enjoying a cigar, a bourbon, and the company of others while discussing matters both meaningful and trivial, do hereby ordain and establish this Constitution for the Society of Ordinary Gentlemen.

ARTICLE I

NATURE AND PURPOSE OF THE SOCIETY

Section 1. Purpose

The Society of Ordinary Gentlemen is established as a community dedicated to fellowship, personal development, civility, self-discipline, personal responsibility, and the cultivation of gentlemanly conduct.

Section 2. Non-Solicitation

The Society shall not serve as a platform for recruiting members into sub-groups, special-interest membership organizations, educational programs, financial opportunities, commercial enterprises, or other outside ventures.

Section 3. Prohibited Promotion

Members shall not use the Society for the promotion or solicitation of products, services, programs, communities, or opportunities for their own commercial or personal gain, except as expressly authorized by the Society.

Section 4. Self-Help and Personal-Development Solicitation

Members shall not use the Society as a means of soliciting, promoting, or directing members to paid self-help, coaching, educational, advisory, personal-development, or similar programs, communities, websites, platforms, or services operated by the member or by any affiliated or third-party provider.

This prohibition includes invitations, referrals, or recommendations intended to induce members to join, enroll in, or purchase such programs or services.

General recommendations of freely available resources offered in good faith for the benefit of members, and which do not constitute solicitation or commercial promotion, shall not be prohibited.

Section 5. Character of the Society

The Society is not a platform for instruction in fictional heroic identities, secret techniques for attracting romantic admiration, or similar schemes promising personal transformation through concealed or proprietary methods.

The Society shall not operate as a conventional for-profit business.

ARTICLE II

ADMISSION AND MEMBERSHIP

Section 1. Eligibility

Membership shall be open to gentlemen and ladies who are legal adults within their jurisdiction of residence and who agree to abide by this Constitution and the Society's Code of Conduct.

Section 2. Member Profiles

Members are encouraged to provide information such as their name, age range, occupation or general status, general location, hobbies, and interests. Members may use an alias when reasonably necessary to protect their privacy.

Section 3. Introduction

Each newly admitted member shall post an introductory statement within seventy-two (72) hours of admission.

Section 4. Failure to Introduce

Failure to provide the required introductory statement within the prescribed period may result in removal from the Society. A removed member may reapply for membership.

Section 5. Inactive Membership

The Society may remove members who remain inactive for more than thirty (30) consecutive days or who participate solely as observers without meaningful engagement in the community.

Section 6. Membership Dues

Membership may be subject to dues established by the Society and approved in accordance with its governing procedures. The amount, frequency, and terms of membership dues may be established or amended from time to time.

ARTICLE III

CODE OF CONDUCT

Section 1. General Standard

Every member shall conduct themselves with courtesy, professionalism, respect, and honor.

Section 2. Personal Attacks

Derogatory comments directed at other members, personal attacks, harassment, and conduct intended to demean or intimidate another member shall not be tolerated.

Civil and good-faith disagreement, debate, and discussion are welcomed.

Section 3. Profanity and Explicit Content

Gratuitous profanity and sexually explicit content shall not be permitted.

Section 4. Humor

The Society recognizes humor as an important part of fellowship. Members are encouraged to maintain a reasonable sense of humor while exercising appropriate judgment and respecting the rights and dignity of others.

Section 5. Enforcement

Violations of this Article or of the Society's Code of Conduct may result in moderation, restriction, suspension, or termination of membership in accordance with the Society's governing procedures.

ARTICLE IV

COMMERCIAL PROHIBITIONS

Section 1. General Prohibition

Except as expressly authorized by the Society, members shall not use the Society as a venue for the solicitation, promotion, sale, or distribution of products, services, programs, memberships, or other commercial opportunities.

Section 2. Society-Authorized Activities

The Society may establish membership dues, offer Society merchandise, conduct authorized fundraising activities, and provide other Society-sponsored products, services, programs, or events as approved by the Society.

Such activities shall not be considered prohibited commercial activity under this Article.

Section 3. The Gentlemen's Marketplace

The Gentlemen's Marketplace, within the Men's Fashion category, may serve as an authorized area in which members may offer items of interest to other members, subject to rules established by the Society.

Details of individual transactions shall be arranged privately between the parties.

Section 4. Private Transactions

Members wishing to engage the professional services of, or purchase products from, another member shall initiate private contact and make their own independent arrangements.

The Society shall not be responsible for transactions between members.

Section 5. Outside Services and Communities

A member shall not use Society membership, discussions, private messages, events, or other Society resources to solicit or recruit members into an outside paid community, website, platform, coaching program, self-help program, educational service, advisory service, or similar venture in which the member or an affiliated party has a financial or other commercial interest.

Section 6. Permitted Recommendations

The recommendation of beneficial resources, including books, articles, YouTube channels, websites, organizations, or other groups, is permitted when the recommendation is made in good faith for the benefit of members and is not used as a means of commercial solicitation or recruitment.

ARTICLE V

DISCLAIMER AND PROFESSIONAL ADVICE

Section 1. No Professional Representation

No member shall represent themselves as acting on behalf of the Society in the capacity of a medical professional, counselor, attorney, therapist, financial advisor, or other licensed professional unless separately authorized and appropriately qualified to do so.

Section 2. General Information

Members participate in discussions and exchange information as private individuals. Information shared within the Society is not a substitute for professional advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

Section 3. Responsibility for Statements

Each member is solely responsible for comments, opinions, recommendations, and other information they provide. The Society does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of information contributed by individual members.

ARTICLE VI

MEMBERSHIP SUPPORT AND FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY

Section 1. Membership Support

The Society may be supported through membership dues, voluntary contributions, fundraising activities, Society-sponsored merchandise, and other lawful sources approved by the Society.

Section 2. Membership Dues

Membership dues shall be established in accordance with the governing procedures of the Society. The Society may establish different membership terms, categories, rates, or benefits as deemed appropriate.

Section 3. Voluntary Contributions

Members and supporters may make voluntary contributions to assist with the operating expenses and activities of the Society. Contributions shall be voluntary and shall not be required except where expressly incorporated into an established membership fee or program.

Section 4. Use of Funds

Funds received by the Society shall be used to support the Society's purposes, operations, programs, services, and other activities authorized by its governing body.
